With the unseasonably hot weather and little rain the water levels on Morse Reservoir are declining. The good news is that according to Citizens Water, the valve is open, but the release quantity is being changed more frequently.  That is good news and bad news. This increased change frequency will reduce the total amount of water released.

The bad news is that as residents it will become more difficult to estimate future releases.  In the past, if the level was going down an inch per day, the resident could assume that it would continue at that level short of a significant weather event. That may not be true in the future.  Citizens is looking at a more complex set of inputs to determine the release quantity.

Please be aware of declining water levels and check your dock & boats frequently!
