Morse Lake Information & News

Morse Lake Water Level

It’s a little early to be talking about low water levels on Morse Lake, but this June has been a grim reminder that Morse is indeed a reservoir. As of June 23, 2012, water on Morse is down 1.5 feet and falling. Many homeowners have been left without enough water under their dock OR unable to get their boats off their lifts.

June 23, 2012 – Top of dam 810.0, Current water level 808.45

The good news – this is a GREAT time to buy a house on the lake! One of the biggest concerns on Morse is low water levels & the uncertainty of water levels – now is the best time to get a good idea of how the water levels will affect different homes around the lake and really get a feel for areas most affected by the water level.

There are plenty of homes on Morse that are NOT affected by water level & not every home looks like the ones you see on the nightly news – left without any water under their dock. In fact, the majority of homes on the lake are in deep enough water that water levels do not pose a major issue – boating, swimming & summer fun continue on!

Don’t let the threat of low water scare you from buying a house on Morse, BUT become an educated buyer before you buy on the lake. Call your Morse Lake Experts today! Boat tours of the lake available at any water level!
